Where Real Estate Gets Its Dirt

Inman News’ Craig Rowe reviews Lone Wolf’s new form editor

Lone Wolf enhances deal making with digital forms overhaul: Tech Review

“The longer a deal takes to get done, the greater the risk of something going wrong. The risk increases when deal data accumulates in unrelated channels, such as email inboxes, text messages or phone call notes scribbled on Post-Its.

Lone Wolf’s new forms editor addresses these challenges by collecting every deal-engagement point into a single interface, called the Workspace. Click the Parties menu to see and contact essential deal stakeholders, review and confirm suggested documents in the Forms tab, verify the Listing information, Offer points and use the Clauses menu to add and edit existing clauses or to create new ones.”

Good review. I have written about this new release and how fast I thought it was, but I think this review emphasizes the “why” of the need for speed (apologies to Maverick).

Ouch!

I think it’s good to understand how some may feel about our industry. Now what are we going to do about it?

Industry Relations Podcast: The FTC, Stock Market, and Blood in the Streets!

How fair is the American economy and who decides what constitutes “fair”? Should the government intervene with the dealings of major American companies, specifically big tech companies, to break up their stranglehold on the U.S. marketplace and its competition, or lack thereof? And how will Biden’s executive order on fair competition affect real estate? In this episode, Rob and Greg go back and forth on the need for competition, what role the Federal Trade Commission should play, how the stock market might be affected, and how much more blood we can expect in the streets.

Looking for some talent?

The industry is going through a lot right now. Both Compass and Redfin have announced layoffs. I’ve been working with Melissa King of Bright MLS and she has scored a list of those at Redfin that were recently part of the cuts. Looks like some great talent available for those companies looking to hire. Let’s do this!

Here’s the link below.

Wanna move to Hawaii?

I’ve been writing about how I think eWebinar can level the playing field for third-party product training for MLS organizations. I was blown away by another use case done by an agent on the “Big Island” in Hawaii. It is so well done you have to see it to believe it.

The agent, Alethea Lai, from Venture – Sotheby’s International Realty, does a masterful job with a mix of storytelling and interactions. She is a perfect guide for anyone who wants to buy property on the Big Island of Hawaii.

Below is a replay link ( you won’t have to register for eWebinar) to show you want I’m talking about.

MetroList Services relaunches public-facing website

MetroList Introduces MetroList.com, A Powerful New Search Portal Designed For Consumers and Agents

“MetroList®, the largest Multiple Listing Service (MLS) in Northern California, has introduced MetroList.com, a relaunch of the MetroList public-facing website. MetroList.com boasts many next-generational features that provide consumers with the most accurate database of properties for sale and recently sold in Northern California. As an added member benefit, every MetroList subscriber is provided with their own branded MetroList.com agent IDX searchable website.”

I think the switch to Metrolist.com from MetrolistMLS.com was smart. The site is on par with most listing portals, although I do prefer MetroList’s listing details page (single larger photo) over Zillow. Another thing I did appreciate is that the site is pretty snappy. Nice job MetroList!
