Our founding fathers were imperfect, as most of us fathers. But they set forth a wonderful goal, “to form a more perfect union”.
We aren’t doing so good with that right now.
And I often ask myself what I can do to help bring this country together we all love so much.
Family is important, as my wife and I try to raise good kids. I also keep in mind the families of all the people that work with Dan and I as we make business decisions. And I always try and do the right thing, and speak out when I see injustice.
But just like most things I find the simplest things are sometimes the most effective. Following The Golden Rule is exactly that, “Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you”.
We are all imperfect. We all have different points of view. But we are all in this together.
Happy Fourth of July everyone. Hope to see you soon.
Amen.
Well said, Greg,Thank you for your words and the photo. ‘Wishing you a Happy 4th with your family.
Actually the platinum rule is much better: do onto others as they would have done onto themselves. The golden rule puts “you” at the center and makes little allowance for the idea that “you” and the “others” may see the world very differently. the platinum rule adjusts for that by clearly stating that what matters is the other, their preferences and their perspectives on the world
Thank you Greg
